Back in the top 10 of the Contest this month

I have closed my Usd longs today and are in the top 10 of the contest

I am feeling pretty proud of myself today, coming back from far behind
I started the contest shorting Gbp, which went alright at first
but sentiment in Gbp turned after a few days and left me almost break-even after being up 200+K
I had also been looking at long Usd positions before the contest, so I decided to switch to this
I built up Usd longs in the second and third week of the contest, and have just closed them now

Creeping up a little higher yesterday

I have moved up to place 61 from 120 in the contest yesterday

My Usd long positions were doing a bit better yesterday, and I moved up in the rankings
I was stopped out due to weekend leverage (again) yesterday, though
Just a bit of bad luck, that cost me a few points of my order quality in the contest
I will be opening my long Usd positions again on Monday

Looking to add to USD longs at market open

At market open my UsdNok long is still alright
I will be looking to add another Usd long position now that the weekend leverage
is out of the way for the week, until Friday close

Something does not feel right about my USD longs

I am having doubts about my UsdJpy and UsdMxn long positions
I thought I was doing the right thing going long USD at market close on Friday
but I am beginning to have some doubts now
My UsdMxn long looks technically good but is falling
My UsdJpy long seems to be stuck in a losing position, too
I have seen this before in other contests and in live trading
Although the rate hike on Wednesday is a certainty and I would expect a stronger Usd afterwards
things are not always what they seem in trading…

Plan working out well yesterday

My plan to get into the top 3 of the trader contest yesterday worked out well
I had the feeling UsdJpy and other crosses would rise from lows yesterday
I was buying UsdJpy, UsdChf, UsdCad, UsdSek and UsdNok after pullback, and before data release yesterday
I closed out profit on UsdCad and UsdNok just before release,
and after data proved good - I closed the rest of the positions shortly after release
I managed to gain about 50K this way, without risking too much
have a good weekend all!

Drawdown of my account

I am losing a lot of money at the moment
I had some Gbp longs hoping for a retracement up after recent losses
They did not pay off and I lost about 50K
I switched to UsdJpy long and went long EurJpy, AudJpy and NzdJpy too
I had a massive loss of half my account - about 130K - today
on top of the losses sustained with Gbp longs ..
I am hoping to ride UsdJpy and EurJpy longs out now
trying to cut my losses short before the week is out
