Back in the top 10 of the Contest this month

I have closed my Usd longs today and are in the top 10 of the contest

I am feeling pretty proud of myself today, coming back from far behind
I started the contest shorting Gbp, which went alright at first
but sentiment in Gbp turned after a few days and left me almost break-even after being up 200+K
I had also been looking at long Usd positions before the contest, so I decided to switch to this

Going for a top 10 position today

Gbp is still looking weak below 1.30 to me
Nzd and Aud are at support levels again

April contest at an end

I finished in a top 10 position this month
I am very happy with my performance in the trader contest this month
I finished in the top 10 after almost giving up in the beginning of the month
I made a couple of good trades after that
and then held on to my capital
I hardly had time to trade at the end of the month
and doing other things besides trading has taught me a lesson, too
One needs to be able to relax and focus on other things;
to step back now and then and watch market flows and direction…

Back in the top 10

I have been able to get back in the top 10 in the traders contest
I had left my EurJpy, NzdJpy and CadJpy longs in over the weekend,
they opened flat but margin on my account was down to 50% again
and I was able to open my GbpJpy and AudJpy longs again that I had to close Friday due to margin requirements
This morning I have made a profit of around 80K and I am closing my positions
I am back in the top 10 of the contest again - at 8th place
I will be looking for an opportunity to make a few more…

Month in Review

This hasn't been a bad month but it could have been a lot better if I would have not took the profits on my EUR/USD and EUR/AUD so quick. That mistake has cost me a lot but I can't change anything about it now. However I'm now even closer to recover my long term balance and as I've said two months ago my top priority and goal is to bring my long term account balance back to BE point.

Last Trading Day

Today is the last trading day of the month and your last change to make some profits and consolidate your position. But you also have to keep in mind that you may end up losing and instead of going higher in the rank the opposite can happen very easily so make sure you trade defensively.
I can see that the top 10 can change at at any moment an your position is still not safe. For me right now it's all about preserving my current rank and I'll try to take few positions here and there as I see fit…

Climbing higher still!!

My contest account is still growing, slowly but surely. Today i briefly featured in the top 10 group, before i dropped down..
I think i am getting better, granted i had to look to some other traders to confirm my analysis, but i think thats ok.
Went short on the yen pairs, made some profit from the GBPJPY and the EURJPY....The CHFJPY is still open, i have adjusted my stop loss to the barest minimum.

Market Opens!!

Within the next couple of minutes, the trader contest rankings are going to change.
That's me sitting pretty at number 8..
Finally joined the "BIG BOYS'...Got me a seat on the Big table.. ..But i am not just going to be at number 8, when you refresh the page within a few minutes, i should be somewhere higher.
What am i really trying to say?
I went long on the EURJPY and GBPJPY...Just two trades and the profits are very impressive,plus i have adopted a strategy, so discipline is a key factor.
