My equity is down to 62K from 100K after the first week of the October contest. My SL management should have been more agressive as the pound fell out of favour last week. 43K is my current downside equity limit for this month, will trade with more caution next week.
Technical Analysis Contest
I did great in this contest last year, but it looks I have been paying some of that back this year. 8th place in August's contest is so far my best achievement this year with four months to go. I got 76 accuracy (0.1617%), 13 quality and 5 bonus points for a total of 85 p…

I ended the first week of the May contest with equity at 146K. A single trade, EUR/USD long, is still running and won't take profits before a proper break above 1.10. Even though Macro…

After the third week of the December contest my equity stands at 203K, up from 176K a week ago. GBP/JPY trade would have hit TP even if I hadn't lowered it. I still believe in the upside in this pair and re-entered ahead of the weekend. Chasing market in EUR/AUD and EUR/NZD proved to be a mistake but risk was limited and losses contained. It is quite possible that the usual year-end thin holiday liquidity will mean more volatility rather than range-bound action under current market conditions.
Technical Analysis Contest
I narrowly missed the top 10 in the October contest and ended up on the 11th place. I was not among the most accurate forecasters but quality and bonus points made up for that. In case anyone hasn't noticed, the base prize of $250 has now been extended to 20th place, from 15th place previously.
Fundamental Analysis Contest
With 126 performance (15:9), 72 social and 100 bonus points I just catched the top 5 in the last week's contest. 200+ participants means that writing comments and working on social points has become virtually mandatory if one seriously aims for a top 10 place.
I'd like to thank to Dukascopy …

NZD/USD Febrero

I finished the second week of the November contest with equity of 309K. It could have been a lot higher though. I lost at least 50K on the Trump dip when my GBP/JPY position was stopped out and I re-entered smaller at a higher price. Later on, a limit order on the same pair was missed by a couple of pips which costed me additional 100K. On the other hand, if the aforementioned dip would have extended a bit further, I'd have been taken out by margin call procedure. There's three more weeks till the end of this month's contest and I expect some more twists and turns until then.
Technical Analysis Contest
I took a great 14th place in the September contest. I say great because my accuracy (0.6095%) wasn't so great but still earned me 57 points. On top of that I was given 15 quality and 10 bonus points. As contest rules already state, it really pays to briefly explain a prediction, used analysis methods and supply the prediction with updates in comments during the forecast period.
Fundamental Analysis Contest
After five months I managed to win the contest again, with 101 performance (9:4), 87 social and 80 bonus points. The contest now regularly features over 200 participants, so more than ever it makes sens…
