FXRabbit predicted bullish impact of ECB Monetary Policy Meeting Accounts in the Fundamental analysis Contest

It is clear that ECB is interested in cutting back in their monetary easing policy and 2018 will be year when they will slowly start implementing the changes. While the Eurozone's CPI will be a concern, there is expectations that it will grow as time goes. More importantly for investors, the political condition of Germany is a greater concern and it seems that issue should also be getting resolved today as Chancellor Merkel may succeed with her negotiations of a coalition today. Overall, all the data from the Eurozone points to a stronger Eurozone. I am optimistic about the Euro.

Not much to expect from the PPI report that may come as a surprise. The market has already factored in the growing US inflation and the greater possibility of about three interest rate hikes in 2018. More attention should be paid to how will the US deal with its growing deficit.

At the time of the release of USA CPI data, there are the Retail Sales and Real Earnings data due too. While all of the data has forecast lower than the actual figures of last time, expectations are that it will still be positive numbers. However the CPI (YoY) is expected to come at 2.1% compared to 2.2% seen last time, which can turn out to be troublesome for the US dollar but given that the Federal Reserve has already made up its mind to raise the interest rates three times this year, nothing should come as a surprise.

Evidently with the sinking US$, crude oil & other commodity prices are bound to go higher. However, a stronger push in the crude oil prices come from rising imports by China and the continuing over the months' cut back in production done by OPEC and Non-OPEC nations excluding the USA, which has no interest in allowing nations as Venezuela, Iran, Russia and few more countries to benefit from the raising crude oil prices and are more eager to monopolize the market with their own output of crude oil production.
