Open trades

I took some long term trades, hoping to boost my equity and increase my ranking...All the trades do not favor the U.S dollar..
After two days of trading, my equity has dropped...
i may have to close all the trades soon, i do not want to be hit by the weekend leverage..

Whew!!!

Currently i am number 30 in the trader contest table, and i am looking for trades to climb up with..
My yesterday's experiment was a narrow miss...
My strategy is definitely not suitable for the 4hour chart...What helped was my long trade on the GBPAUD, that trade cancelled the loss on the short USDSEK position....
In the strategy contest, my strategy has taken only 4 trades, i am a bit worried, at 4trades a week, its not up to the required 20 trades...well, lets see how things are by the third …

What a day!!

My poker game today was not all that, it would seem i have some off-days..
My contest account is still below a 100k, and i just got my login details for next month...A strong reminder that the month is over...
Well, i gave it my best, made some mistakes...I guess i will live to learn..
i still have a single position open, a short trade on the EURNZD...if that trade miraculously becomes profitable, i might have a chance..if not, then thats all for August..

Still going on!!

I finished 9th in today's poker game..
I think its time to start moving up to the big leagues.. ...weekly games and the Grand Prix..
On the trader contest, i am still betting heavily against he United States dollar, i am expecting the Jackson hole conference to cause a big disruption in all the dollar gains....Call it intuition..
Actually, at this point i need a hail mary pass...
And this is it...So all my margin in use trading against the dollar (U.S)...

Trades for the week

My poker game today was good, finished 22nd...Got greedy and bet too much..
But definitely getting better... ..
I have taken all my trades for the week..with my contest account still under a 100k, i have to take a daring move... ..
The account got to 96k, but currently at 77k..i am holding on to my trades...selling the USDSEK,USDNOK and USDZAR.. ..
I am seriously hoping the United States dollar drops heavily...After several days up, trying to catch some retracement..

FOMC

Today's poker game was great..finished 11th.. ..
Soon i will be taking part in the weekend or end of month games..
I have a single trade open, my contest account is still below 100k, about 78k to be precise..
I am still very hopeful and optimistic...I am hoping FOMC will be the news event i need to push my trade in the right direction..
If that does not work, then i will live to fight another day..
i will need several "miracle trades" to climb to the top 10, so i will just relax and take my time…

The fight continues!!

I am still on my track to finish among the top 10..It has been a bit slow, i took a short trade on the EURNZD that caused a heavy drawdown..another sell on the GBPJPY gave me some good pips, but the volume was quite low..
well, i am not giving up, even though we have barely 10 trading days left.. ..actually about 8 days!!
I can see 400k at the top of the table..i am almost humbled..lol...
Nice to know folks are making pips!!..
I am still holding on to my short EURNZD..That might just be my holy-…

The week is coming to an end and my account balance is still below 100k...i am very hopeful to end the week above 100k..

After dropping the contest account to about 45k, i am currently standing at 98.8k...
Not bad, eh?..
Now, with barely two weeks left, i just have to make my way up to the top 10..
Also hoping my poker game today will be something memorable..
There's a streak of negative data coming out from the euro zone, yet the EURUSD did not plummet like everyone was forecasting..sometimes fundamental analysis can be so contradictory...and very imprecise...
