Looking forward to opening long USD positions

I am waiting for markets to open tonight to go long Usd

My opened long Usd positions were stopped out on Friday
due to Dukascopy weekend leverage in the contest
These positions were starting to make a comeback after being in the red all week
I was finally in the green again when I got stopped out
I am thinking the trend will continue this way now, though
and I will be opening my long Usd positions again the coming week

Decided which trades to take

I have decided to go long Usd today
I have chosen the UsdNok and UsdSek crosses to go long with
because they have been dragged down a long way the past few weeks and are bound to rebound
I hope
Anyway - UsdJpy looks to be challenging 1.10 again soon
and the crosses will gain momentum back up then, too

Opening long USD positions again today

I have opened a few new positions long Usd today
The bounce above 1.10 on Friday was very interesting to me
Technically, 1.10 holding is good news for UsdJpy
I sense a recovery coming - maybe some more strong data ahead
Fundamentally that makes the dollar potentially changing direction again
There could be a lot of pips to be made
I am long UsdNok, UsdSek, UsdMxn and UsdJpy

A new week of trading ahead

I started my summer holiday today! :-)
Also, a lot of other traders are on holiday - and the market is quieter
This usually last for a couple of weeks
Usd is likely to continue higher after Friday's good FOMC report
All other figures / releases were good too, and technically I see a bounce from 1.10 level
Fundamentally, it is now a good investment, and looks solid
Eur and Gbp are retracing (finally) from recent rallies,
and Usd will likewise retrace back up

Repeating USD longs today

After closing my Usd longs yesterday with a healthy profit
I am back in today
Technically a lot of Usd crosses are supported and/or bullish in their setup
This combined with a rate hike coming up today made me re-enter
I am long UsdJpy, UsdCad, UsdMxn, UsdNok and UsdTry
I will be hoping to close my positions with profit just before the announcement this evening

USDJpy looks like a low in place

I opened a long UsdJpy yesterday and it is holding
I lost most of my money yesterday on GbpNzd and EurNzd longs
after switching from short to long (I don't know why - .. ) and getting stopped out
With my last 45K I opened a long UsdJpy after a low seemed in place
The low from yesterday still holds
I plan to sell the other majors if Usd recovers

Unlucky (or stupid?) with USD positioning

I lost about 60K yesterday afternoon on Usd longs
I decided to go long Usd into the weekend yesterday,
I was going to open a UsdChf,and a UsdJpy long, and keep within the weekend margin
Against my better judgement - I got greedy - I opened UsdMxn, and UsdZar and UsdNok positions, too
I was going to see how much of them I could carry into the weekend, and close the rest
As soon as I had opened the crosses long - they plummeted - Karma at work!

Going long USD before Fed rate decision

I went long Usd yesterday before the Fed decision
After realizing that traders would be long before the Fed interest rate decision I decided to go long Usd
It did not work out as I expected
I thought that the market would go long on friday before the interest rate decision by the Fed on Wednesday
But the Usd/Jpy went down today
There seems to be some market pressure on the Usd and Gbp and Eur profited
Luckily, I was short Nzd/Usd and Aud/Usd too, and I got paid a bit

Game Plan

My game plan for the next two weeks is very simple: go long on the USD. I am expecting USD strength, thought it would have started already, but that is not the case yet. Already have two longs on the USDNOK and USDSEK.
yes, i went all out and am currently holding a 38k drawdown...
It was not supposed to be this bad...So much for my aggressive approach. I am prepared to lose 70k on those trades to make at least 200k...Good ratio, eh!.. ..

I have over 70k drawdown but not closing my trades. USD Strength in progress. Looks like we are both same page. Good luck mate. I wish you all the best for the contest !!
