Today marked the day of the first Friday of the month. To us traders, this is the NFP day. I wanted to create this blog today because today, I was remembered the first year of trading NFPs. Every month, I was itching for the first Friday! I thought to myself, today... I am going to make 100 pips instantly! Today, is the day I will become rich! Wow was I wrong haha!
To anyone who is reading this, I give you an important advise. DO NOT trade big news like Non Farm Payroll. I'm not going to stop you from doing what you want, but just know, you are gambling! You are throwing money into the manipulation pool.
Take a look at all the charts (I look at all the majors), look how prices reacted during and after the news event. The result was
Price did initially go down (or up) depending on the pair you look at. But for this example, lets use EURUSD. Price went down in favor of USD, but in the end, price was in favor for EUR. This is why I don't trade fundamentals.
So before I close, please avoid trading big news because your only "playing" and "gambling" your hard earned money.
