New Year’s Eve is one of the most wonderful and magnificent holidays!
This is the holiday which is celebrated by people from around the world!
All countries and all people have their own different traditions.
In my family New Year holiday trumps even Christmas in importance.
The celebration occurs on December 31/January 1. Fireworks and concerts mark this holiday. My family is usually preparing special dishes as salads, special sandviches, snaks with red wish and etc... The table is always full of mandarins and bottles of champagne. I always associate this mixed small with the New Year smell.
Then, before the mid-night, my family is watching the same New Year movies on TV. It brings a magic atmosphere to our house. Also, we are preparing special presents and we are putting them under the special tree which we usually decorate one week before the New Year.
However, the most exciting moment for me is the last minute before the New Year. When people from all over the world are counting the last minute tick during this year. At this moment my family usually open a bottle of champagne and we write the most desirible wish on a small piece of paper which we usually prepare before, we fired this small piece, throw it to the glass of champagne and drink till the end. We have to finish all this process during the last minute and before the chime because all our dreams will come true!!!
I keep this traditions for years and all my wishes always come true!!!
