Today April 23rd was Sant Jordi's celebrations in Barcelona. Catalunya has a very special way of celebrating saint George's day. In England, the Anglican and Catholic churches celebrate this day to remember St George killing the dragon as the national day. In Catalunya, it is a day to remember famous authors like W. Shakespeare or M. Cervantes. For this special occasion, men offer a rose to their beloved one(s) and, in return, they receive a book from them.

Las Ramblas in Barcelona during this day is packed with overpriced roses and books vendors. 7 million roses are sold only during that day in Barcelona! The most famous path through Barcelona's old town also hides in its walls a fierce dragon praying for mercy...

Enjoy this litte videoclip I've put together to make you want to visit (and maybe stay in!) Barcelona where the fiestas never end
