He came to his 4th wife and said, “I gave you the best in the world, now I’m dying soon, will you follow me and …. “
She replied, “Don’t even think about it.” Then she leaves.
The answer is really tearing his heart into pieces.
He turned to his 3rd wife with a deep sorrow and asked, “I love you so much, and now I’m dying soon, will you follow me?”
She replied, “No! I love my life and there are so many admirers around. I will get married again after you died.”
His heart is wrenching.
He asked his 2nd wife,” You helped me every time and bailed me out from difficulties, I need you now. Will you follow me when I die?”
She replied, “Sorry dear, I can’t help you this time. What I can do is accompanying you to the graveyard.”
The answer is like a fatal blow to him.
Suddenly, there was somebody talking to him, “I will follow you, no matter heaven or hell, I will be with you.” He looked up and saw his 1st wife. She is so bonny and look like suffering from malnutrition.
He felt extremely anguished and said, “I should have taken good care of you…..but its too late now.”
In reality, everyone has 4 wives in their life as well.
The 4th wife is our physical body.
No matter how much money and time we spend on maintaining it, keep it nice and decent. Once the time is up, it just gone and end up an unfeeling corpse.
The 3rd wife is our reputation, power and wealth.
No matter how much glory they brought about to us, once we died, they belong to others.
The 2nd wife is our close friends and families
No matter how close you are with them, they can only accompany you to the graveyard after you died.
The 1st wife is our soul.
Our soul has always been omitted and ignored when we are pursuing wealth, materialistic and physical enjoyment.
Not to lose yourself !
