Today I chatted with my friend about his next posting of job. He told me there are some many uncertainties that make him worrie and depressed. He claimed that he is a kind of person that need careful planning, execute and follow it step by step. He even has a contingency plan in case shit happens. His saying is: Failing to plan is planning to fail. I know him so well, because we share same MBTI (it’s a kind of personality indicator in terms of business aspect, I will talk about it later).

I am also a person who needs prudent planning. But I have kinda changed after I met someone means so much to me in the UK. She told me my life was (is) so boring, always stick to the plan. Everything is predicted and fixed, and I can never enjoy the moment of sudden surprise. After listening to her, I pondered over it and found what she said is pretty right!!

Starting from some point, I started to carry out thing in an impromptu manner. I will still plan the holistic picture, but not the subtle details. Just let’s thing happens. You know, there are many things that are uncontrollable and just come across all in a sudden, such as love (that we can never plan or foresee). I start to have a kind of expectation towards my life, expecting something unpredictable pump into me extemporaneously. Such as no detail plan for my trip, just went where ever I wanted, and hitched a ride during the journey. It was rather fun! Really, I find life is a bit more interesting than before lol !

How about you? Beforehand planner or impromptu advocator? Which type you think you are? Or you believe God has planned everything for us?

Contrary to “Failing to plan is planning to fail’, my saying is “No plan is a good plan”. Cheers!
