Croatia might just end up being a record holder.
The country already is the record holder forworld’s largest truffle. We think Croatia would be a good competitor for “Most Mentions on Best of Lists” too. Croatia has recently topped such lists as World’s Wildiest Parties, World’s Best Pools, and World’s Top Beaches, among others. Indeed it seems like everywhere we turn it’s Croatia-this, Croatia-that with headlines in CN Traveller, The Guardian, The Huffington Post, BBC Travel and UK’s Mirror. The news just keeps pouring in and we’re beyond ecstatic about that.
Just released this week is CNN’s Top Summer Food Destination list, and guess what? Croatia’s on it. Or Istria, to be exact. Istria’s section stands right at the top of the article for all to see. Read up on what CNN says about Croatia’s gastronomically rich northern peninsula then grab a nice glass of Croatian wine and a plate of Istrian truffle risotto and toast to this fine achievement.
