The question of who should pay on a date was not discussed a lot before. It was considered that a man should always pay for the date. Nowadays more and more people become open to the idea of women taking on some of the financial responsibility in dating.
I believe that nowadays both men and women could pay on a date. Of course when relations just starts men try to impress women with some presents and romantic dinners and even will not give their women an opportunity to pay for something. But in my point of view, it is possible for the first stages of relations. Then relations come to a new stage, people become closer, share all things and feelings with each other. So, I do not see anything bad in fact that women also could pay on a date. Maybe, it is even new stage in relations, more intimate. A lot of men still will not allow to pay their women for date on any stage of relations. It is the way they were learnt from the childhood. It is a part of their upbringing, their feeling of real man. I do not see anything bad in it also, but at the same time I see nothing bad if woman pays, especially when you become closer.
