The jury of the International Contest of Photographers-Gardeners (IGPOTY) (yes, there are such) chose the best macro images of 2018 that were made in the garden. The best works of photographers were published for review on the website of the award.The leader was the Croatian photographer Peter Szabol, who photographed two butterflies-podokon on the stem of the still unraveled poppy flower.According to the author of the photo of Sabol, he was very lucky with the lighting during this shoot. The judges noted that the slope of the stem and the bends of the torso of butterflies-padenok are perfectly combined with each other.
The second place was taken by the English photographer Jan Gilmour, who photographed the structure of the flower of the salad.
