Today it's very important to what human's efforts are directed because the result reflects on the time spent. Among different scopes of activity people often choose the most nonagressive way of expression - creative work. In former times art always was a way to display himself, to express own feelings. And it often had some religious bases according to which a creator expressed himself.
Today's art, as I noticed, is more anthropogenic, it has much in common with men who want to change something around. Natural expression, whatever it might be, is a guiding light fore the creators of the modernity.
The art now is getting more and more bases to be an instrument in the political struggle, to be a tool for struggle for own rights. This happens when the creative spirit is there along with the striving for freedom. This left traces on the style of modern art as authors couldn't fully abstract away from the environment in the desire to create something beautiful.
It seems modern art is moving away from the religious bases that have been the pivot in former times. Different styles and directions of the art that display in present times are adhere to the slide of naturalness. And any conjectures based on the course of modern art are just suppositions that will be fair for some time as fashion is changing.
So, the modern art has no scopes of expression as it should be.
