The March Trader contest has come to an end finishing with a total of 887 participants. It was also the last month when the contest was running in its old design. Contestants may have noticed that the month was comparatively poor in term of updates and new features. That lull was due to the development, testing and finalization of the totally new look of the contest webpage and its integration in the registration system of the Dukascopy Forex Community (DFC).
Now, when the most effort-consuming stage of the DFC release is passed, we will again pay more attention to the extension of the functionalities' range at the level of the individual contests as well as at the level of the community.
Good news is that now participants do not register to every contest separately. Instead, they can use their community account and subscribe to all contests on a one-click basis. Moreover, now one can register and login via his existing Facebook account.
In terms of trading activities the month was primarily marked by the JPY record volatility that followed the earthquake/tsunami disaster in Japan. Many traders drew down their accounts on these events. However, there were also those who managed to correctly assess the situation and capitalize on it. Some of the top-10 winners raised their balances exactly on the JPY fluctuations.
Functionalities/changes for April:
We remind that Dukascopy contests will become more and more integrated. Users may participate in numerous contests at once.
