Pomegranates

In this time of the year, I am always busy picking fruits from my three pomegranate trees. I eat them fresh, make juice (using a cold press juice extractor) and I freeze the excess fruit. They're delicious, healthy, and beautiful.

Olga18375  in Italy it is sometimes used as part of Christmas decoration (both for the table and, in older times, hanging on the Xmas tree). The blood red seeds were used as a symbol of the Passion of Christ.

Feijoa


I just got this huge basket of Feijoa fruit from my neighbor. I love this fruit. It's not very common in my area. Did you ever taste it? I'll let them ripe in the basket and eat a few every day. They are also very good for making juice, if you have a juice extractor. It's recommended for pregnant women, as it contains a lot of helpful nutrients.
