Here is today's report, another great day on the marathon.

FOOD

Today's meals:

After my run this morning, and all the work-out and sit-ups, I was up for a very big breakfast.
  • Breakfast = boiled yam and egg sauce
  • Lunch = Spaghetti
  • Dinner = A bowl of sliced apples
Since the marathon started, I have been watching my water consumption, trying to take at least three liters every day. I decided to do a little research, just to find out just how important water is to the body. My findings were an eye-opener, I have listed them below:

  • 60% of the human body is composed of water, and this medium is necessary for most body processes like circulation, digestion, transportation of nutrients, maintenance of body temperature and many more.
  • Adequate amount of water in the body makes you smarter. For the human brain to perform optimally, it needs proper circulation of
  • oxygen, drinking more water ensures this and improves cognitive functions.
  • Adequate amount of water helps weight loss; not like water has any particular weight-loss effect, it is just that substituting water for high-calorie beverages leads to an overall weight reduction.
  • Adequate amount of water helps in building and energizing our muscles; enough water means more oxygen in circulation, which helps the muscles work harder. Drinking a lot of water is very important when exercising, as it helps the body cells maintain their fluid balance.
  • Adequate water makes our skin look healthier, a well-hydrated skin always looks better than a dehydrated one.
  • It is also very good for the human joints, as some joint pains are due to dehydration. But a well hydrated and
  • lubricated body system can prevent this.

SPORT

The Cross-fit routine went well, and I took my own advice and took a lot of water afterwards.

The 10,000 steps done in a run/fast-walk. This is getting a bit easier, even though I got some blisters a few days ago, but they have healed up nicely

I uploaded a video for the sit-ups; this part I have not yet gotten used to. My abs scream out in protest every time, but it is not as difficult as when I initially started.

LIFESTYLE

Social media time is still down to an hour and a half, and focus is only on close friends, family and business associates. After the marathon, I will need to do some clean-up, I have a lot of friends that I have not heard from in years. It might be time to cut them loose, and probably "unfollow" some Instagram celebrities.

Still the punk in the house.
The hair style is low on the sides and full in the middle. It is not the crazy-rock type punk style, I am not sure I would be able to get away with that at work.

My dress sense has been corporate all week and some, I will be switching to the traditional Nigerian attires.

Stay tuned for more updates and pics.
